This lemonade is refreshing, flavorful, sweet, and spicy!
It’s Summer time! Sunny and warm weather calls for lemonade. This beet lemonade is fun way to quench your thirst and it’s full of benefits!
Beets are high in immune-boosting vitamin C, fiber, and essential minerals like potassium (essential for healthy nerve and muscle function) and manganese (which is good for your bones, liver, kidneys, and pancreas). Beets also contain the B vitamin folate.
Lemons are a rich source of nutrients like calcium, potassium, vitamin C and pectin fibre. It also has medicinal values and antibacterial properties.
Ginger has a long history of use for relieving digestive problems such as nausea, loss of appetite, motion sickness and pain. It also helps to combat cancer, inflammation, cough, sore throat, and much more.
Water helps keep the body well hydrated, which is essential because almost every cell in the body needs water to function properly.
If you do not have a juicer, no problem! A high powered blender should work.
BEET GINGER LEMONADE
- 1/2 Beetroot
- 2 peeled Lemons
- A thumb sized piece of Ginger, peeled
- Agave, or other healthy sweetener to taste
- Water (about 12 oz…I used Kangen Akaline Water)
- Juice lemons
- Add beetroot and ginger. Juice
- Add water to dilute
- Add sweetener of choice to taste. I used about 4tbs of agave.
